WOMAN ARRESTED FOR SHOPLIFTING WITH CHILD IN STROLLER

February 23, 2024 (El Cajon) – El Cajon Police arrested a young mother on February 1st  for allegedly stealing merchandise from Dick’s Sporting Goods in Parkway and removing anti-theft sensors—all while pushing her young child around the store in a stroller.

 
After she left the store, police officers found her nearby and arrested her for grand theft. During the investigation, drugs were located in the stroller within arm’s reach of the child. The child was taken into protective custody, says Lieutenant Eric Thornton.
 
Police identified the woman as 29 year old Tytiana Johnson. She has an extensive arrest history including various theft and drug related offenses, according to police.
